I was a bit nervous about this wedding. Sometimes I get nervous or anxious because of elements of the wedding such as the time of day, a challenging venue, or lighting that doesn’t translate well to photo… but this time it was because of the GROOM. That’s so odd for me to actually write out and admit, but what it is, is Zach (the groom) is actually a talented photographer. For ANY photographer, photographing ANOTHER photographer is super nervewracking! It’s made even more so because Zach has an amazing eye and even more so, has a knowledge of seeing and creating light that I am not ashamed to say surpasses mine. So, when Zach emailed me wanting to talk about me covering his wedding, I was like, “Whaaaaaaaaaat?!”
But when it came down to it, these two made it easy for me. They are both so very, very in love with each other. Lea is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest soul. And Zach is utterly dedicated to her. When you are looking through these photos, I want you to really focus on one thing: How these two look at each other. How their eyes soften and how you can almost just SEE and FEEL their heart opening to one another fully and honestly. It makes my heart happy to see two people so overwhelmingly in love.
Congratulations again, Zach and Lea! Thank you both so much for inviting me to be a part of such a special day!
