Sara and I hadn’t met face-to-face before her and Michael’s wedding day, so I was a little nervous as to how much they would “warm up” to the camera. Most people (myself included), need a good 30 minutes before they actually feel comfortable in front of the camera. HOWEVER. HOLY CRAP THIS WHOLE FAMILY IS AN EXCEPTION.
I took 3 shots of Sara, telling her I was just testing light, getting her warmed up, etc., aaaaand she nailed it. First three frames. I knew I was in for a fantastic ride after that, little did I know that not only is Michael as easy to photograph, but so are BOTH of their families. WHAT THE CRAP. Is it in your GENES people?!
These two tied had their ceremony at one of my FAVORITE venues of all time: Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens. After a wedding I shot last year there, I’ve been just itching to get back to this place! Sara and Michael did it up right, including a string quartet put on their party pants (yeah, I just said party pants) and switched into an electric string band playing everything from Maroon 5 to Journey to Katy Perry. Ever rocked out to an electric violin? Um… you should.
Congratulations again to you two! I hope your honeymoon is full of so much fun and adventure!
