These two lovebirds, Paola and Dakota, are truly old souls. And by that, let me explain a little, hopefully shedding some light on who they are as a couple:
Originally, Paola and Dakota were going to get married in their hometown of Gainesville, TX. But after much going back and forth between their plans, they really went with where their heart was: a destination beach wedding in Florida. Now, when people think of “Florida” and “beach,” seclusion isn’t necessarily what comes to mind. However, seclusion is exactly why these two picked Cape San Blas for their wedding location. It’s a very quiet, small town in the panhandle of Florida. No huge tourist stops, no beach stores loaded with t-shirts and boogie boards. It’s truly a peaceful, quiet place, perfect for enjoying time with your loved ones and really slowing down and savoring life.
That, right there, really speaks volumes about these two, I believe. They are about the experience. The relationship. They cherish the time with their families and really have just grown into a single entity, as I believe all good married couples do.
I was so, so grateful to have been a part of the amazing experience that was their wedding. The generosity of their families to not only invite me to shoot this unforgetable day, but to bring along my husband and son as well… and then later on ask us to dinner and s’mores the day after… I mean, jeez.
Thank you guys, really. I am truly blessed to have been a part of it all!
