For some reason, I had the inclination that Kristen and Marc were soft spoken, reserved people. I think it’s because they were so into each other during their engagement session: more focused on each other than anything else (yes please!). So when I showed up on their wedding day, I had just somehow set in my mind to expect a reserved bridal party, a timid group of family and friends, and a potentially empty dance floor during the reception. UM… WHERE DID I GET THIS IDEA?! I was so wrong!
This wedding at Heritage Springs (in Anna, TX… just a little north of McKinney) was SO fun. So much fun with SO many fun people. It was truly a celebration of love and the joining of two families! The bridal party was upbeat and right on point with the positive mood (and playful banter 😉 ha!); the family was fully engaged, complete with cheering, singing, hugs and high fives; and the dance floor was PACKED from the first song to the last. It was a SERIOUS good time!
Kristen and Marc had the BEST of so much. The BEST transportation (the McKinney trolley! To die for!), the BEST groom’s cake (the Death Star from Star Wars. WHAT?!), the BEST reaction at their first look (Marc literally gave a LEAP for joy), and the BEST groom’s singing performance to his bride. Yes, that’s right: The guy who I thought was soft spoken and possibly shy actually got up on stage and sang a Justin Timberlake song to his bride.
I also have to give a HUGE shout out to Wendy Kidd of Each and Every Detail wedding planning. She does AMAZING work with AMAZING detail and does it so effortlessly. The same for Holly Viles of Holly Viles Design. I wanted to actually MARRY the bouquet itself, it was so pretty.
Congrats again, Kristen and Marc!
