Kaelyne and Derek’s wedding was one of the most emotional weddings I’ve attended in so many ways. There was so much joy and tears of happiness all around, it was hard not to join in as well… that and I’m a little bit of an emotional person myself! I have to admit that I got a bit teary when Kaelyne first put on her dress and saw herself in the mirror. She was overcome with overwhelming joy and found herself in tears.

Another moment (that really had me grateful that I had a camera covering my face so no one could see me getting a bit weepy) was the moment that Kaelyne’s dad saw her in her dress, he broke down in tears and held her tightly in his arms. It was a moment where you could actually see him giving into all of those emotions of saying goodbye to his baby girl, preparing to lead her into her new life with her husband.

Okay, who’s cutting onions in here?! I’m not getting teary-eyed, YOU are! We won’t even get started on how absolutely gorgeous the Hidden Pines Chapel is in Highland Village. It’s dreamy, neutral palette is perfect with little hints of that coveted farmhouse look throughout.

Overall, the entire wedding was beautiful as it was a perfect story of what a wedding should represent: two families coming together to celebrate love and happiness. Thank you, Kaelyne and Derek, for having me be a part of your wedding day!
