If I could really just put pen to paper (or keyboard to blog?) on what describes Jessica and Jonathan, it would really be a description of their first look: When they saw each other, they embraced, they spoke softly to each other, they held each other, and they spent a moment to pray together before they walked down the aisle. The way they hold each other is both soft and gentle with touch, but fierce with their hearts and souls. It’s an honor to be a part of it all.
Something that is very, very important to these guys is family. I thought it was so amazing that Jessica actually asked her (soon-to-be at that moment) mother-in-law to be a part of dressing her in her wedding gown. It was awesome to have both Jessica’s mother as well as Jonathan’s mother helping her get ready to walk down the aisle. And speaking of family: I feel like I’m a part of this family now! I mean, I pretty much have seen Jessica’s parents at every single wedding in the area for the last 6 months. Those two are ALWAYS on the dance floor, always smiling, and always looking to make everyone feel special. Thank you guys for that!
And now, as always, down to the pretty things that make my job so exciting! 😀 Haha! These guys totally transformed the Centennial Hall in Lindsay, TX into a glamorous reception! There were lounge areas on the dance floor, beautiful uplighting and monograms, and a plethora of gold and crystal everywhere you turned. I HAVE to say, though, that there were some things that I absolutely loved:
- At the guestbook table, there were not only photos of past weddings of their family, but also the wedding GOWNS that were worn by all these amazing ladies. How awesome!
- If that wasn’t enough to honor the marriages in the family, there were also two separate, solo dances for the two longest married couples in the family. Beautiful moments!
- There was a CONFETTI cannon at this wedding (if you know me, you know I love me some confetti!)
- A balloon send off! It was a little impromptu as we weren’t too sure how it would turn out, but when everyone worked together and let off the balloons at one time, it was magical! Look at the END of this blog to see it in action in animated form!
Thanks again, Jessica and Jonathan, for allowing me to be a part of your special day!!
