I had not met Johanna or Jaime in person before the wedding. We had only had a skype date here and there with a couple of phone calls in between. But you know what? I’ll never forget these two. I’ll never forget the way they look at each other, the way they teared up upon seeing each other on the most important day of their lives. The way they just OOZED love and their aura was so, so happy.
Johanna is the type of girl you just want to hug. Seriously. She smiles with her eyes, and hugs with her heart. She spent the morning complimenting her bridesmaids on how gorgeous they looked, sang along to The Lumineers as she slid into her wedding dress, and greeted everyone with the warmest welcome as if they were the number one person on her list. Jaime is so complimentary. Everything about him is contagious: his laugh, his kindness, his joy… even his tears of happiness. He makes the most amazing facial expressions, which he totally gets from his mother. It’s no secret that Johanna is everything to him. His whole heart and nothing less.
I know I’m being gushy, but these guys are freaking amazing. They are why I do what I do, and why I look forward to weddings.
Things to look for in this first part of their wedding post:
Getting ready at the gorgeous Ritz-Carlton in Dallas.
The beautiful venue of Marie Gabrielle in downtown Dallas, a rooftop ceremony and reception location.
A crying groom during the ceremony, and–though you might not see it in these pictures–THREE crying groomsmen.
A fabulous first look with all the amazingness you’d expect.
My favorite part of every wedding day… see below. 😉
This is my favorite, favorite part of every wedding day. The moment right after “I do” when they couple walks down the aisle. They are completely alone and have that amazing feeling of… well, you can see for yourself…
