Okay, so I’m going to TRY to make this as short as possible. In saying that: I know I’ll fail. So thanks in advance to those of you who adventure through this blog post.
Heather and I have known each other for years. I honestly can’t tell you the number of years that I’ve known this girl. Eight? Nine? Somewhere around there. We met each other through work when I lived in North Carolina. The week before I flew back for the wedding, I thought of all the things we’ve seen together: she’s been there firsthand to witness my own life turn upside down, we’ve shared break-up songs to put on our playlists, I was one of the first people to find out she was pregnant with her son, she was there at the beginning of the relationship of my now-husband. I was present the morning she lost her father, and also at the funeral days later.
To say Heather is strong is an understatement. This girl has been through more things in her life than any of us can really fathom, and has been tested with some of the most life-altering circumstances. Though we lost touch after I moved to Texas, it was such an amazing sight to see her (and her sister, Bobbie Jo! Love you, Bobbie Jo!), I literally broke down in tears. I only wish we had more time to spend and talk about old stories and such.
Now onto Andy…
I had never met Andy. I honestly don’t know much about Andy. You know what I do know? That I love Andy. I love him because he is right for Heather. Never in my life have I cried from so much happiness at a ceremony. It’s just such an amazing, awe-inspiring sight to see two people who truly are destined for each other to enter such a magical commitment. I can’t even begin to find the words to describe the fullness your heart feels when you see someone you’ve known for so long find their PERSON. To see everything just fall into place so perfectly… Thank you, Andy, for giving that to Heather.
Oh jeez. Now I’m crying. Okay, okay… enough of all of that… let’s get onto the pictures, shall we?
Heather and Andy were married at the beautiful Carrigan Farm Quarry in Mooresville, NC. I completely had forgotten how beautiful North Carolina was until this particular visit. The amazing trees, the beautiful water. The mountains… I want to go back already! This wedding also had an amazing and unforgettable sky lantern send off. I wish I could do one every single wedding! Congrats again, Heather and Andy!
