I met Christie as a client, but I feel like I’ve known her for a while on a more personal level. She’s a woman who I met right as she became a mother, and I’ve watched her grow (though slightly from an outsider, Facebook stalker-ish point of view) and evolve as we all do once we become mothers and also more comfortable in our skin with age. I met Christie before “Christie and Ryan” and I adored her.
Then, when she sent me THE email saying she was engaged and she wanted ME to be her photographer, I was BEYOND excited to meet Ryan. When we met at their engagement shoot, I thought, “I adore Christie… and now I adore Ryan… but man, how I absolutely LOVE the team that is Christie and Ryan.” When you get to see something as special as these two find each other in this big world, it just makes your heart happy. Just all evening of their wedding, I kept showering them with compliments of how I absolutely, positively love the aura they put off as a couple and also now a family of three. It really just makes me want to start handing out free hugs!
Their wedding was at the awesome Artspace 111 in Fort Worth, a perfect modern space with an amazing outdoor area that is to die for. Their wedding was after sunset, the entire thing lit by cafe and string lights giving such a romantic, warm glow. And um… guys? THEY HAD A DONUT TRUCK INSTEAD OF A CAKE. Seriously. A donut truck. There was literally a CAPTAIN CRUNCH DONUT GUYS. I literally want to go try to hunt down this truck right now because the memory of them melting in my mouth is making me drool right now.
In all, the whole experience was fun and heart-warming. These two love to laugh, have a great time, have amazing hearts, and care about others full-heartedly and yet with modesty.
Congratulations again, Christie and Ryan! Thank you again so, so much for asking me to be a part of your life journey.
