I’m sure I sound like a broken record by now, but I don’t really care: I really, really love the Lindsay and Muenster community so very much, these families included. A lot of people don’t know anything about Lindsay, and that’s okay. I didn’t either when we first moved here outside of the fact that it was a smaller town a few minutes out from Gainesville and they had a couple of really amazing BBQ joints. It’s a really tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone, which can be pretty intimidating for an “outsider” like me, but now? Every wedding I go to, I see so many familiar faces. I get so many hugs. I have people like Abby’s mom, Brenda, tell me to get out on the dance floor with the family! I leave the wedding feeling like I just left a wedding that I was a GUEST at who just happened to have a camera! I really can’t describe it more than that, but these two communities have so many families that have just made me feel so welcome and part of it all, including these amazing families!
These two newlyweds, Abby and Matt, are so full of joy! This whole dang family is! Everywhere you look, there are smiles, smiles, smiles. The bridesmaids, the groomsmen, the guests, the families, the guests… just so much joy filling the day. How lucky are we all to be a part of that?! That’s what weddings are about as a guest: celebrating in that joy!
Aside from all of the mushy gushy stuff (yeah, I can’t help it, I love it and I love writing about it!), there were some pretty amazing things going on in this wedding. Number one would definitely be the fact that all the decorations were DIY! Whaaaaaat? You’ll be blown away as well once you see how they decorated the hall in Lindsay! And the second part I wanted to point out about this blog (and my faaavorite) is the fact that we were able to sneak out during sunset and grab some amaaazing shots with a Chevy Blazer. Nevermind that we basically had to shut down the road to get a good angle. 😉 Haha!
Congratulations again, Abby and Matt!
